Got Milk

Postby Jmichels on Tue Nov 03, 2009 9:22 pm

This is a very new Milk Snake, it was a mere 4" long. At only 4" it was the smallest example of the species I've seen. It was found in a handful of leaves that were meant for kindling to get a campfire started. How fortunate that it was recognized as more than kindling, lol.

What a beautiful animal! I think I read about this on another forum, if I'm not mistaken. I'm guessing this was in Illinois? I was out there a couple weeks ago and was hoping to see a Red Milk, but no such luck. Still, lots of cool critters to be found!

Jared, right? I think I've offered some direction to you in the past on some places to check? I hope you did well with that info. I think you probably did hear about this one, if you're who I'm thinking of.

Thanks for the compliments guys.
